Telindus announces that it will now continue to operate in the Netherlands and Luxembourg under the name Proximus NXT. This name change reflects the transformation of Telindus into a managed services organization within the Proximus Group.

The new name brings together all of Proximus’ business IT activities while maintaining Telindus’ focus on secure and reliable IT infrastructure. In Luxembourg the new name is Proximus NXT. In the Netherlands, Telindus is known as Proximus NXT Netherlands. Telindus was acquired by the then Belgacom Group in 2006 and sold its Spanish branch in 2011.

With this new name, Telindus is building on its forty years of expertise in the IT market. The company continues to offer a wide range of managed services including cybersecurity, network, automation and hybrid cloud. The name change is a logical step as the name Telindus, which comes from “Telecom Industry”, no longer covers its current activities.

Proximus NXT was founded in 2023 and is the umbrella brand within the Proximus Group for all business IT services. The rebranding further strengthens the position of Proximus NXT Netherlands, according to the brand.

According to CEO Joris Leupen, the name change has no direct impact on the company’s daily services or business operations. Leupen emphasizes that the new name will improve collaboration within the Proximus Group and lead to greater strength and market visibility. “The name change strengthens our market position and the internal sense of unity within the company,” says Leupen.

He adds that customers can continue to count on Proximus NXT Netherlands’ expertise when it comes to optimizing their IT infrastructure. The legal transition to Proximus NXT Netherlands will be completed on January 1, 2025.
