Later on Friday, residents of Jabaliya and two nearby towns said communications and the internet had been cut off, disrupting rescue efforts by emergency crews and leaving people affected by the Israeli bombing unable to call for help.
The escalation of Israeli attacks in Jabaliya comes a day after Benjamin Netanyahu’s government said it had killed its number one enemy, Yahya Sinwar, the Hamas leader whom it blames for ordering the Oct. 7 attack on Israel. (Reuters)
