Actually, this is not the first time we hear about Premium Lite. In 2021, the company tested something similar in Europe. At the time, this cheaper subscription not only offered ads, but it didn’t offer offline viewing and background viewing options with the screen off like the regular Premium subscription. After two years of testing, everything was canceled in October 2023 without any explanation. A year later, we hear it again in a slightly different version.
