We have long talked about the iPhone SE 4, a smartphone that has been rumored and leaked but has yet to be officially announced. There is an explanation for this, and it is that, in theory, Apple has decided delay its launch until 2025 leaving a little more margin to clear the stock of the current model that was launched in 2022.
Japanese media outlet Mac Otakara has used all available information about the iPhone SE 4 to create a realistic mockup in proportions and dimensions and shared it in a video to give us an idea of what we can expect from the said smartphone. . Generally speaking In terms of design, it is practically the iPhone 14 both on the front, which retains the classic notch, and on the frame, which has a completely flat finish.
Changes from the iPhone SE 4 are found on the back, more specifically in the area dedicated to the cameras it will have one camera complemented by an LED flash located just to its right. All iPhone SEs came with a single camera, that’s one of their big distinguishing features and it’s also one of the keys that allows Apple to cut costs and make this line of smartphones cheaper.
The resemblance with the iPhone 14 is so large that the iPhone SE 4 can even fit in the case and with the screen protector of the mentioned terminal. I know what you’re thinking it’s already been revealed and where’s the surprise I’m talking about in the title. Well, this surprise is that Apple could launch iPhone SE 4 Plus.
This model appears right at the end of the video and is presented as a larger version that would have the same dimensions and the same screen as the iPhone 14 Plus, i.e. 6.7 inches. The iPhone SE 4 would have a 6.1-inch panel and could use the Apple A18 SoC, which is the same as the iPhone 16 series.
Otherwise, it is expected to be configured with 8 GB of RAM and that it is equipped with a USB Type-C connector. Its rear camera will be 48 MP and should be compatible with computational photography and AI applied enhancements. Its base storage capacity will be 128GB and I don’t think Apple will offer models with higher capacities as this model will have a more affordable selling price as its main attraction.
And speaking of price, although nothing is official yet, it looks like the iPhone SE 4 will be priced between $500 and $600. If Apple decides to launch it at $500, its price in Spain after currency conversion and 21% VAT will be about 589 euros.
