Intel Core Ultra 200H, leaked

The leaked Core Ultra 200H plan has put us on the trail of new notebook processors that Intel has developed under the Arrow Lake platform.

Intel will keep the hybrid CPU design it used in its latest generations and also in this architecture, but will add a significant difference from the 200S desktop processors. And the Core Ultra 200H adds a third group of low-power cores (LPE-Core) to join the familiar Lion Cove (P) and the more efficient Skymont (E) for high-performance tasks.

Core Ultra 200H, five SKUs

The leak tells us that there will be five models at launch, namely:

  • Core Ultra 9 285H
  • Core Ultra 7 265H
  • Core Ultra 5 255H
  • Core Ultra 5 235H
  • Core Ultra 5 225H

The processor will be the flagship model Core Ultra 9 285Hwith six P, eight E, and cos LPE cores, addn 16 cores without hyperthreading. Compared to the Core Ultra 9 285HX, it has eight cores less, but the operating frequencies are approximately the same as the powerful model (maximum 5.4 GHz). This chip has a TDP of 45 watts, while the rest remain at 28 watts.

The Core Ultra 7 265H and Core Ultra 5 255H have the same core count and configuration, but a slower clock speed. The last two chips, the Core Ultra 5 235H and 225H, have a lower core count of 14 cores (four P, eight E and two LPE). The clocks decrease further, but the maximum frequency in turbo mode is still close to 5 GHz As for the integrated graphics, we see 8 Xe cores in almost all models.

Intel introduces new FOVEROS 3D packaging system, adds support for Thunderbolt 4 and PCIe 5.0 connectivity. It will also support the latest wireless standards, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. They will have an integrated NPU, although its performance will be a third compared to the Lunar Lake chip unit, more specialized for accelerating artificial intelligence tasks.

The Intel Core Ultra 200H will be available in first quarter of 2025. Probably after the official presentation at CES in Las Vegas.
