Currently, users can create square-shaped images with Gemini, but this may change and soon the AI ​​will be able to create images in the most common aspect ratios such as 16:9, 4:3, 9:16. and 3:4.

Another new feature currently in development for Gemini provides the ability to manage calls and text messages even when the phone is locked. By saying “Hey Google” you can summon Google Assistant or Gemini and start a call or send a text message. However, only Google Assistant can make calls or send messages when your device is locked. This may change soon and current powers may also take on Gemini AI.

The new feature was spotted in the 15.42.30.28.arm64 beta version of the Google app. It has been revealed that Gemini will have a new lock screen feature. Users will see a new on/off button that allows Gemini to make calls or send texts while the phone is locked. When this feature is enabled, Google says, “Gemini will still ask you to unlock if the reply contains personal content, such as your Gmail messages from apps you use.”

It is noteworthy that the new application also has an updated user interface. Gemini’s floating layer has a minimal interface, and the text entry area expands vertically to make all text visible. Additionally, the interface now separates all Gemini extensions into different categories. Accordingly, you can see categories such as Communication, Device Management, Travel, Media and Productivity with their relevant extensions under them.

It is currently unknown when these new features will be included in the stable version of Gemini. Additionally, experimental features or UI changes are not guaranteed to work.
