Bloober Team has confirmed claims for Cronos: The New Dawn, their next project for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series sometime in 2025. The studio is actually working at a pretty good pace as they completed Silent Hill 2 Remake this year and will be back in the fray with another major release next year.
Cronos: The New Dawn will be a horror and survival game with a third-person perspective that will allow us to travel through time. The design and environment of the game are very interesting and On a graphical level, it looks like it will be bordering on goodthough we’ll have to see if they’re able to optimize one of their games well from the start.
They don’t provide performance data, but this configuration should be enough to keep playing 1080p with low or medium quality and a stable 30 FPS.
The recommended requirements They are much higher and fit what we might consider a mid-range PC:
They haven’t given performance figures for this configuration either, but it’s most likely enough for gaming 1080p with maximum quality and stable 60 FPS or at 1440p with maximum quality and between 30 and 60 FPS.
No other requirements have been listed, but I’m confident that to play it in 4K with maximum quality and a good level of smoothness, we’ll need at least one GeForce RTX 4080 or with Radeon RX 7900 XTX.
Personally, I think this is the most interesting project the Bloober Team has taken on yet. First scenes I’ve seen with actual gameplay They made a good impression on me although I feel that the development of the action will end up being too linear, something similar to what we saw for example in The Callisto Protocol. All in all, unless it arrives very poorly optimized, I’ll eventually give it a shot.
