The BOOX company presented three new devices within its eInk line, which bring changes at the level of design, but also at the level of hardware and software. These improvements have a goal that is as simple as it is important, to improve the user experience and make it more intuitive.

We’ll start with the Note Air4 C, an eInk tablet with a color screen that has a customizable and easy-to-use interface where apps are presented like a regular tablet. This model brings screen quality improvements such as higher brightness and excellent contrast.

BOOX Note Air4 C is configured with 8-core processor and 6 GB of RAM, which means it is able to perform well with different workflows. Its panel can be customized and customized depending on the type of task we are doing, and its desktop offers an experience similar to what we would have writing on paper.

Palma 2 is another of the most interesting novelties presented by BOOX. It comes with an improved version of Android, has a more powerful processor than the previous generation, has 6GB of RAM and has 128 GB of storage space. Its design is similar to that of a smartphone, so it can be operated with one hand.

This device has a screen eInk Carta 1200 which offers a paper-like viewing experience and has access to the Google Play Store, so we can enjoy a large number of apps. The screen has two-tone lighting and its multimedia capabilities are complemented by 16 MP camera and a pair of speakers.

Finally, we have the Note Max, an A4-sized tablet that has a 13.3-inch screen mounted on a chassis that’s just 4.6mm thick. It is very thin and light and has a display of the latest generation eInk Carta 1300which means it offers a fantastic viewing experience. It’s an option for those who need something bigger than the BOOX Go 10.3.

This model is supplied with octa-core processorit has 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage capacity. With it we can perform various tasks smoothly and without any problem and we can do it in multitasking thanks split screen mode which includes advanced PDF tools.

Firmware is also important for this type of device. BOOX is aware of this and, at the end of the presentation of these new products, confirmed the launch of an update to its firmware, which includes a solution to improve reading and taking notes through Tools integrated with AIsuch as Smart Scribe and text recognition.

The latest update includes new customization options and a better user experience with features like outlining in the “Notes” app and reading and annotating PDFs. With the integrated NeoReader V3 document reader, we will enjoy better multilingual typography and background OCR support for text recognition.
