For people who don’t know what this feature is, sheet protection is a feature found in some spreadsheet programs that prevents the data in the spreadsheet from being changed or deleted when opened. Specifically for Excel for iPad, it can now be activated via the app’s Spreadsheet tab or the ribbon.

The new version of the iPad app allows users to tap the Page tab with the Lock icon. They can then tap on the “Protect…” option that will appear on the floating UI. Users can also go to the app flow and click “Revision”and later “Protection”.

iPad Excel allows you to tap ““Suspend page protection”to turn off the feature, you can then tap the selection. “Restore page protection”to set again. You can also choose a password that you must enter in the app to access these options. “Manage page protection”. It can also be used to make other changes to security settings and to add, edit or remove editing ranges. Worksheet protection is now available for people using Excel on iPad with version 2.90.930.0 or later.
