Fujitsu now also has a self-built AI agent. The Kozuchi AI Agent works with humans and performs autonomous tasks.

If GenAI was the tech word of the year 2023, then AI Agent is the word of the year 2024. After Salesforce, ServiceNow and Microsoft, Fujitsu is now also introducing an AI agent for its platforms. Fujitsu Kozuchi AI Agent is a service that performs autonomous AI tasks and collaborates with humans.

The new service is offered via the Fujitsu Data Intelligence PaaS platform and focuses primarily on business conversations about profitability and negotiations. Fujitsu plans a broader rollout in 2024 and wants to expand the applications to other areas such as production management and legal matters.

Full team member

Fujitsu Kozuchi’s AI agent is designed to act as a full team member and independently make suggestions that can lead to new insights. The system can analyze abstract problems and break them down into concrete tasks, which are then carried out using various AI models. Fujitsu offers both its own AI models such as Takane for advanced language processing and external solutions.

A practical application example is the use of the AI agent in meetings. For example, if during a meeting it turns out that sales have halved, the AI agent can run various models to analyze this. For example, the agent could then provide an overview of the figures per region and clarify that only sales in a certain region are declining.

First data, then AI

Fujitsu sees the Kozuchi AI Agent as an important addition to its digital offering. With this service, the company aims to increase productivity and initiate a transformation of business processes with the aim of helping companies work more efficiently through the use of generative AI technology.

Fujitsu recently explained its view on the AI hype in detail to ITdaily. Trust and reliable data are crucial cornerstones of AI for the company. The Japanese company’s motto is first good data and then good AI.
