In 2020, YouTube introduced a feature called Bedtime Reminders to remind users to stop watching videos on the platform and go to bed. This is a good way to go if you spend a lot of time watching videos on the platform. However, the feature was a bit hidden in the settings to enable it; This might be the reason why most people don’t even know such a feature is available on the YouTube Android app.
Fortunately, it looks like YouTube will soon make it easier for users to enable the bedtime reminder feature. Various features were detected in version 19.43.32 of the beta version of the YouTube application for Android; This means the bedtime reminder feature can now appear in the video player window. Specifically, the option that includes video quality controls, playback speed functions, sleep timer, and other options may appear on the bottom page. Here are the lines:
You can turn off reminders from settings

Similar to the existing feature, Bedtime Reminders will prompt users to set reminders in 15-minute increments or select the “Wait until you finish a video to show reminder” option to have the notification pop up during the current video you’re watching. The scan ends.
Having bedtime reminders on the bottom page will make it easier for people to control their video watching habits and enjoy other things in life. Currently, users can go to Settings > General > Remind me when it’s bedtime to enable or use this feature. Note that, as Android Authority points out, there’s no certainty that the feature will make it to a stable release.
