The Razer Barracuda X Chroma are new headphones from the high-performance peripheral company. They stand out with their Wireless, cross-platform connectivity and Chrome RGB lighting system.
A few years ago we had the opportunity to disassemble the original Barracuda. The second generation takes the same approach, although it improves on major parts such as connectivity and adds dynamic Chroma RGB lighting.
Barracuda X Chroma can work under two wireless connections thanks to the company’s SmartSwitch Dual Wireless technology. On the one hand, Razer HyperSpeed (2.4 GHz) for intensive gaming sessions (for example, on a desktop computer) and on the other, a standard Bluetooth connection, which makes it ideal for use with mobile devices and without the need to perform any repeated pairing.
The headphones are mounted on 40mm TriForce driverswell known for sound clarity at all frequencies, whether playing games or listening to music or multimedia content. The Razer HyperClear cardioid microphone is detachable and ensures communication in games or video calls. Like other models from the company, its ergonomic design, which includes swivel ear cups wrapped in breathable memory foam cushions, promises lightness (285g) and comfort in use.
Perhaps the biggest news is Chroma RGB lighting incorporated. With six customizable lighting zones via Chroma Studio or Razer Audio, users can enjoy a wide selection of effects with over 16.8 million color options and integration with over 300 games for responsive effects to gaming situations.
The manufacturer promises autonomy up to 70 hoursnot bad considering its performance. It also includes fast charging via the USB Type-C port, with which you can get 6 hours of autonomy in just 15 minutes of charging.
