He also said that “in response to former President Morales’ complaint about alleged attack on his lifeordered “an immediate and thorough investigation to clarify this fact.”

Evo Morales stated that this morning it was target of attacke, when he was heading from the town of Villa Tunari to Lauca S to take part in his Sunday program at the Kawsachun Coca station.

The former governor said that a group of unknown persons, who were in two or three trucks, fired several times at the car in which he was traveling, managing to wound the driver.

Despite the above, the attackers managed to escape, but the incident was recorded.

Members of Morales’ inner circle have previously asked for an investigation, which has the support of international organizations, and have also asked the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) to take precautionary measures.
