Neither the price nor the lack of cool new features are a burden for Samsung’s new foldable device. To capture it, mission impossible

Foldable phones hit the market a few years ago and have slowly managed to take over the market. There is a significant gap in the market. We see a very clear example of this in the Huawei Mate XT, the first foldable device with dual hinges, which was a real hit.

Samsung does not want to fall behind in the market where it pioneered with the original Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip. While we wait for the first triple foldable mobile phone, the South Korean company’s latest attempt in the foldable phone market is a phone that appears with the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, although it is far from here. It was a great success.

Galaxy Z Fold SE is coming to stores… and sells out in 10 minutes

This new foldable comes just a few weeks after the Galaxy Z Fold6 and does so as an improved version of it. The most obvious change between one model and another is in its design: the Special Edition is 1.5 millimeters thinner and 3 grams lighter; Samsung’s thinnest and thinnest foldable device to date. It doesn’t end there: Its outer screen has higher resolution and a 200-megapixel main sensor.

Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition

The device went on sale on October 25, although it was not a global launch. At the moment it looks like Samsung Plans to sell this new foldable device only in Asian marketsand has actually only reached South Korea so far. Of course, the launch in this region was a bit eventful as it was delayed by seven hours.

It was a mystery how the public would react to this new device, especially considering that there is not much difference with the Galaxy Z Fold6. The truth is that this move was great for the South Korean company: It only took 10 minutes to hang the ‘All Sold’ sign.

This success is further proof of this. Users are increasingly interested in folding technology. Additionally, the new Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition could open a new roadmap for the company’s next foldable devices, which could follow this trend by turning to increasingly thinner designs.
