LANCOM Systems is introducing the UF-1060, a new rack firewall aimed at companies and the public sector that process high volumes of data.

The Lancom R&S Unified Firewall UF-1060 offers a 100G interface and has 12G UTM and 100G firewall capacity, suitable for managing thousands of VPN tunnels. The device supports high-speed WAN connections and LAN segmentation, making it suitable for organizations with heavy network loads.

The firewall is equipped with redundant SSDs, fans and power supplies. In addition, the 2RU device has eight expansion slots, allowing expansion of up to 100G per module.

Encryption and management

Lancom equips the UF-1060 with a sufficiently powerful SSL inspection and an R&S PACE2 Deep Packet Inspection Engine. The device must therefore protect the network from advanced attacks. An exact classification of network traffic is also possible.

The firewall also offers Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and uses machine learning to analyze potentially dangerous files in a sandbox. This analysis is carried out via a hosted cloud service in Germany.

The UF-1060 features a graphical user interface to easily manage security and compliance policies. Integration with the Lancom Management Cloud is possible for central monitoring and remote configuration. An HA cluster with redundant hardware also ensures high availability and failover.

Price and guarantee

The firewall has a recommended retail price of 22,000 euros excluding VAT and has a basic warranty of three years, extendable to five years. Depending on the security features required, the licenses are available in different packages.Top of form
