Smartphone manufacturers have started to launch their new generation flagship devices and Samsung is also preparing to launch the Galaxy S25 series. These new high-end phones will offer top-notch specs and features, but they are also expected to bring the latest version of Android. Here’s what we can expect from the brand’s Android 15 vision, called One UI 7.1.

1. Updated look

One of the biggest changes in the latest One UI build with the Android 15 operating system update is the UI update. Samsung plans to release the stable version of One UI 7 with a new look in 2025. During Samsung’s developer conference, One UI 7 was showcased with images showing changes to the Control Center, recent apps menu, a new notification bar, and more. Even the apps themselves can see the changes, such as Gallery, Phone, Camera, Voice Recorder, Contacts, Samsung Notes and others.

Earlier this month, a render image of the Galaxy S25 Ultra surfaced online, giving us our first look at One UI 7. Even though this is just a mockup, it gave us a decent look at the new Control Center. The changes to be made in ColorOS 15 and OxygenOS 15 give the impression that the user interface design is inspired by Apple iOS. Samsung’s One UI 7 isn’t directly inspired by it, but it does seem to take cues from the iPhone software. You can see a split notification panel with rounded corners and transparencies.

2. New and improved Galaxy AI?

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S25 series with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This new processor offers significant improvements in CPU, graphics and NPU processing. In other words, AI features may be better and faster than ever before, and Samsung Galaxy AI may benefit from these updates. Therefore, we can expect the return of Call Assist, Transcript Assist, Translator, Note Assist, Browse Assist, Live Translation, Environment for Search, and more.

3. The best version of One UI?

A recent report suggested that One UI 7 could be the biggest improvement in the history of Samsung’s smartphone software. One UI 7 beta release is taking longer than usual. But One UI 7, which has been in the oven for a long time, may finally pay off. This can lead to a bug-free release and greater overall improvements. Prominent Samsung tipster Ice Universe claims that One UI 7 is the biggest update in Samsung’s software history. In addition to increasing performance, animations, transitions, system stability and fluency have also been improved.
