Former President and Republican candidate for the White House Donald Trump this Monday rejected criticism from his Democratic rival Kamala Harris, who accused him of making “references” to Hitler, and responded by declaring that he is not a Nazi.
“I’m not a Nazi, I’m the opposite of a Nazi,” Trump said at a rally in Georgia, one of the key states in the Nov. 5 election.
The presidential candidate criticized Harris for using the word: “The latest statement from Kamala and her campaign is that anyone who doesn’t vote for her is a Nazi.”
“I had a very good father, a tough guy, who always told me, ‘Never use the word Nazi.’ Never use this word. And then he said, “Never use the word ‘Hitler.’ Don’t use that word,” he said, emphasizing that he is the exact opposite of a Nazi.
Trump made his statement days after Harris said it was “deeply disturbing and incredibly dangerous for Donald Trump to refer to Adolf Hitler, the man responsible for the deaths of six million Jews and hundreds of thousands of Americans.”
