AVM has expanded its router catalog in Spain with the FRITZ!Box 7690, a new product compatible with the Wi-Fi 7 standard that is able to offer good performance level maintaining a price included. It offers advanced home automation control functions and is compatible with DECT, Zigbee and Matter standards.

At the design level, this router it maintains the classic profile that the German brand is used to. This is evident both in the line of the chassis and the set of colors that AVM has used, as the white tone is maintained with red detailing and a gray finish at the bottom.

The FRITZ!Box 7690 is a dual-band router that can reach speeds up to 5,760 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and up to 1,376 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band The former offers a higher level of performance and is less affected by interference, while the latter has a longer range, but its maximum peak speed is lower and suffers more interference measurement.

The performance values ​​that this router can achieve are very high, making it a good choice for demanding users as it will satisfy their needs without any problems. Whether your goal is to play games, download stuff, or stream 4K content, the FRITZ!Box 7690 can achieve more than enough bandwidth offer an optimal experience in all these cases.

The German company assures that the FRITZ!Box 7690 also has very low latency and has confirmed that it has technology Multiline Operation (MLO). This allows you to optimize band usage by transferring data across multiple bands simultaneously. This also improves network stability.

This new router also has technology “piercing” which avoids busy frequencies to reduce interference and network saturation, optimizing the use of available spectrum in the local wireless network to always achieve the best connection quality and best possible performance.

Looking at its cable connection options, we find one WAN/LAN port with a speed of 2.5 Gb/sone 2.5 Gbps LAN port and two 1 Gbps LAN ports. It also has a USB 2.0 port for connecting storage devices and printers, which will allow us to create our own cloud, and it has a DSL connector, compatible with VDSL (including Supervectoring and ADSL2+).
