Argentine President Javier Miley, fired the minister foreign affairs, Diana MondinoTo vote in favor Cuba at the UN General Assembly.

“The new Chancellor of the Argentine Republic will be Mr. Gerardo Wertein,” Presidential Press Secretary Manuel Adorni announced via social network X.

A few minutes before the announcement, Miley reposted the deputy’s message rival Sabrina Aymechet in which she was “proud of a government that does not bank and is not an accomplice of dictators” and proclaimed: “Long live a free Cuba.”

62 years of US embargo against Cuba

The UN General Assembly approved this Wednesday for another year and by an overwhelming majority (187 votes in favor, 2 against -USA-Israel- and 1 abstention -Moldova-) a non-binding resolution against the US, sanctions against the US. Cuba, which have existed for 62 years and are a major blow to the island’s economy.

Argentina, true to its historical position on this issue, voted in favor of the resolution.
