ASUS renews its catalog of computer monitors with the ZenScreen Smart MS27UC. A special model because it is first from the company under the Google TV brandwhich enables a personalized experience of entertainment and beyond, working with it independently of computers.

ASUS has a good collection of monitors, especially in the portable versions with models as impressive as the ZenScreen Duo OLED and its dual screen. The ZenScreen Smart MS27UC is much larger and takes a different approach because – although it can work in conjunction with another device as a pure monitor – its big advantage is that it does not need to be connected to a dedicated PC.

What is the ZenScreen Smart MS27UC?

It mounts a large IPS panel with high resolution 27 inches diagonal and 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels). Its viewing angles reach 178 degrees, it supports 99% of the sRGB color gamut and it is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified.

Good specs, although its strongest point comes from another source: its immense versatility. Users using this monitor will be able to conduct video conferences; online meetings; searching for content through an integrated web browser; Sign in to your Google Account to create and sync work and documents in Google Workspace, or enjoy streaming movies, TV shows, or other media. In addition, the monitor offers connections for multiple devices, including PCs and smartphones via Miracast or Google Cast, with a multi-control function that allows you to control them with just a mouse and a Bluetooth keyboard.

As for the design, it can be seen elegant and functionalwith special acoustic fabric and a practical storage compartment on the back of the monitor. Its ergonomic stand allows for -15° to +18° tilt and 100mm height adjustment to ensure comfortable eye-level viewing. It includes a cable management feature to keep them organized.

The ZenScreen Smart MS27UC works as a control and entertainment center and therefore includes extensive wired and wireless connectivity options, USB Type-C with 90W power and support Energy supplyHDMI, DisplayPort and two USB hubs for connecting to laptops, smartphones and tablets.

under the platform Google TVyou can use voice commands to search for shows, play music, control smart home devices and more. It includes a built-in cross-platform live application that allows ZenScreen Smart MS27UC users to stream live videos and content that others can watch on up to four online streaming sites simultaneously, including YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and other platforms.

Pricing hasn’t been announced, but this model looks very, very interesting and goes far beyond a simple portable monitor.
