Axis Communications is expanding its AXIS Camera Station (ACS) with two cloud-based solutions: AXIS Camera Station Edge (ACS Edge) and AXIS Camera Station Cloud Storage. The goal of both products is to simplify network video management and provide companies with a more flexible way to store and process video recordings.
Local processing
ACS Edge is designed to process video directly on the camera, eliminating the need for external servers and additional on-site devices. This design enables faster video data processing and reduces the need for complex infrastructure. This results in lower operating costs for users.
ACP Edge
The solution requires only an Axis camera with SD card or Axis S30 recorder to install, minimizing implementation time. The system offers a cam-to-cloud solution that enables companies to quickly access video footage and simplify management by integrating Axis Edge devices with cloud services.
Long term storage
In addition to ACS Edge, Axis also offers cloud storage. This cloud service allows companies to store video images over the long term via a subscription license. The storage is fully managed and secure, reducing the risk of video data loss due to hardware failure or damage to physical equipment.
ACS Cloudstorage
The service includes 30 days of storage for 720p videos, which is ideal for multi-location businesses that need easy and reliable access to their data.
With ACS Edge and Cloud Storage, Axis aims to provide customers with versatile solutions that can be used in cloud, on-premise or hybrid surveillance systems. This allows companies to manage their video security more efficiently and maintain access to their data regardless of the infrastructure used.
