The Xiaomi 15 appears in China. The device marks the official debut of the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor.

Xiaomi has launched its latest flagships Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro. Only in China for now, although we can expect the devices to come to Europe later. Xiaomi’s latest devices are the first commercial smartphones with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite on board.

The processor was officially announced by Qualcomm at the beginning of the month and new smartphones usually don’t take long to arrive. The Snapdragon 8 Elite is Qualcomm’s most powerful smartphone processor to date. You can almost describe the processor as a laptop processor.

In the announcement, Xiaomi speaks of an improvement in CPU performance by 42 percent and GPU performance by 44 percent. The integrated NPU delivers up to 80 TOPS.

Xiaomi 15

The Xiaomi 15 devices must continue to make a name for themselves in photography, especially the Pro model. The device has three lenses, including the telephoto lens of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which was convincing. With a 6100mAh battery, you shouldn’t lack for anything when it comes to battery life.

The base model is a more compact device with a 6.36-inch screen. The device also has three cameras, including a telephoto lens. The battery is slightly smaller, but still 5400 mAh.

As usual, the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro will initially be launched in China. The manufacturer has not yet confirmed the European launch, but the devices usually come to the European market in spring. We don’t know the prices yet either.
