The creator of Stardew Valley ends his game… as a player

That Stardew Valley is a gem of the indie gaming ecosystem It’s something we’ve all been clear about for many years. Not in its current state, even though it reached a level a few updates ago, it’s hard to believe it’s the work of a single person. The plot with its thousands of threads, the graphics, the music… everything has the signature of Eric Barone, who, nine years after starting his great project, is still working to make it even better and better complete.

The most anticipated news in this regard is, as we told you more than a month ago, the very close arrival of the impressive update 1.6 to smartphones and tablets. Recall that this update, which reached the PC version earlier this yearwas a complete surprise, as after the release of update 1.5, Barone stated that he considered development of Stardew Valley finished and would then focus on developing Haunted Chocolatier, his long-awaited and as yet unreleased second game.

Stardew Valley’s biggest updates are, and I’ve mentioned it on occasion, comparable to the DLC that many developers sellthat is, they charge for them. This case is different, all updates are free and since they are usually always pretty packed with content, completing the game to 100% has become a hugely difficult challenge for quite some time now that few have been able to achieve.

Well, the news is that its creator has finally joined the group. In fact, as he himself said on Twitter, Eric Barone has finally completed 100% Stardew Valley achievements as a player on Steam. It may sound surprising at first glance, but the truth is of course that most of the time Barone devoted to the game was a developer, not a gamer, although the project was born precisely because, as a fan of the genre, he wanted to create a game that he wanted to play.

In addition, in responses to Barone’s message, some users congratulated him they took the opportunity to ask about specific successes they had not been able to achieve. And of course, let’s remember that we are talking about ConcernedApe, probably the developer who is always the most dedicated to his players, so he didn’t hesitate for a minute to answer them and try to help them.

Now of course The big question is whether the 1.7 update will arrive after Stardew Valley 1.6. And while only time will tell, I don’t think we can rule it out.
