However, later rumors said that it is not possible to advance in the development cycle without exposing ourselves to failures in the operating system, which is why they would eventually rule it out, as we already told you, the merger of the two last generations took place last October . However, Google seems determined that the same does not happen with Android 16 and Pixel 10 devices.

So, if until now we have been talking about rumors and leaks, this time we will find an official confirmation that we will find on the blog for the developers of the operating system. And we see that in this note about changes to their SDK publishing policies Android 16 will be officially launched in the second quarter of 2025so when the Pixel 10 is released, they will be hitting the market with the latest version of the OS.

However, this raises certain doubts, regarding the company’s next-generation smartphone roadmap. This year, with Android 15, we saw its debut with a VIVO device, not those from the tech company.
