Windows Server 2025 is now generally available. The server operating system has received numerous improvements in this new version.
Windows Server 2025 brings numerous improvements in terms of security, flexibility and performance compared to the previous version. One of these improvements is Accelerated Networking, which makes it easier to manage single-root I/O virtualization for virtual machines. This process, in turn, reduces latency and CPU usage.
Additionally, the Windows 11 version of Task Manager offers block cloning, local password management, a redesigned File Explorer interface, and improved network management and monitoring options.
Optimized work process
Active Directory has new features, such as a 32 KB database page size option, which increases data processing capabilities. Additionally, Active Directory is receiving new schema updates to streamline domain management. Additionally, functionality has been added to restore missing core attributes of AD objects.
Azure Arc integration simplifies management of on-premises and cloud infrastructure. This integration provides organizations with greater flexibility in managing their IT infrastructure as a cohesive whole, whether on-premises or in the cloud. Better data security and encryption is possible thanks to standard LDAP encryption and TLS 1.3 support.
Windows Server 2025 will be supported until October 10, 2029, with security updates rolling out up to five years later and ending on October 10, 2034. Microsoft has been testing the application since 2024.
