The US military has released the first official images of the F/A-18F Super Hornet carrier-based fighter-bomber and attack aircraft at full combat load, featuring four new AIM-174B air-to-air missiles.
In addition to the AIM-174, the F/A-18F Super Hornet is equipped with three medium-range AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles and a pair of short-range AIM-9X Sidewinders.
The F/A-18F Super Hornet flies alongside the US Navy’s F-35C Joint Strike Fighter and the US Air Force’s F-15E Strike Eagle in images taken during the Gray Flag 2024 exercise.
