A new error has appeared in the Microsoft 365 version of Outlook since last week. When users select text in a classic Outlook email and use Ctrl+C, Outlook crashes. Microsoft released a new support page last week explaining how to fix this issue.
Are you using the latest channel version 2409 (build 18025.20096) of the classic version of Outlook? Then you may have already discovered this problem. When copying text using the Ctrl+C keyboard shortcut, the Outlook app crashes. This issue is most commonly encountered by users using languages with an IME (Input Method Editor).
Microsoft is currently working on a permanent solution, but is offering workarounds in the meantime. On Microsoft’s support page, the company explains two different solutions. A first is to revert to a previous version of an IME. Microsoft explains how to do this on this page.

This is not the first time that errors have occurred in Outlook. Recently, users with more than five hundred folders had problems sending emails with Outlook for a long time. This problem has existed for a year, but Microsoft released an update in October. It is not yet clear when the company will find a final solution to the current problem.
