Nvidia surpasses Apple and can call itself the most valuable company in the world. Nvidia’s market value is more than $3.5 trillion.
What has been coming to us for some time has now happened. Nvidia is the largest company in the world based on its stock market value. On Monday night, Nvidia overtook Apple and after the results of the American presidential election were announced, the price rose again by a few percent. Nvidia’s total market value is now $3.58 trillion.
Analysts are not surprised by Nvidia’s rise to power on the stock market. Anyone who bought Nvidia shares in 2022 will literally own gold. Last year, Nvidia’s share price rose by 850 percent. Nvidia stock continues to break one record after another.
Nvidia’s success can be explained with two letters: AI. No company is benefiting more from the AI boom than Nvidia. The tech industry’s biggest players must turn to Nvidia for GPUs to train and run AI models. Meta announced this weekend that its LLama 4 model runs on 100,000 Nvidia H100 GPUs.
Investor circles therefore do not assume that Nvidia will record a decline in the foreseeable future. The company is about to unleash Blackwell on the world. After initial production problems, the GPU is gradually ready to conquer the world. Stock would now be hopelessly sold out before production even began, Jensen Huang confirmed last month.
Nvidia is still firmly in the monopoly, but there are many companies that want to change that. AMD is explicitly positioning itself as Nvidia’s challenger in the AI scene. Some of Nvidia’s lucrative customers, including OpenAI, want to take matters into their own hands and develop hardware themselves. These developments will not stop the Nvidia express train for the time being.
