Spanish security forces arrested 16 people, including a drug trafficker from Sinaloa Cartelduring surgery dismantle two laboratories for the production of methamphetamine and cocaine located in the municipalities of Palomeque and Mentrida, province of Toledo (centre).

As the police said in a note this Saturday, agents seized 125 kilograms of cocainesix and a half kilograms of methamphetamine, almost 31 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride, 7,500 liters of precursors and more than 21,000 euros in several searches carried out in Madrid and Toledo.

Fifteen of the 16 detainees have already been placed in a temporary prison.

Among them is a chemist from the Sinaloa cartel, who I worked at Chapitoschildren of notorious drug trafficker “Chapo” Guzman, imprisoned in the United States.

According to police, the operation began in July last year after the discovery of a drug trafficking point in Juncos (Toledo), where there was unusual movement of people and vehicles.

Surveillance efforts allowed members of the organization to be identified, although locating the laboratories was particularly difficult because they were in isolated locations and those under investigation took many precautions.
