Chinese supercar breaks first speed record of 375 km/h BYD YangWang U9 It was installed in August this year, and now the YangWang U9 has set a new record: in Germany, at the ATP Automotive Testing Papenburg test track, the vehicle reached a speed of 391.94 km/h.
But the record was not set by a completely serial version Yang Wang U9: Special weighting and special tires were fitted to the vehicle. It is important to note that the record was set during reference tests of the machine and not just to demonstrate capabilities.
BYD YangWang U9 It is one of the most technologically advanced Chinese supercars. The car received a power plant consisting of four electric motors with a total capacity of 1306 hp. At the base, YangWang U9 has a carbon roof for an additional fee – an adjustable rear wing.
Acceleration for the serial version is declared in 2.36 seconds to 100 km/h. The dimensions of the car are 4966x2029x1295 mm, the wheelbase is 2900 mm. The capacity of the traction battery is small for a four-motor monster – only 80 kWh, the range measured according to the CLTC method is 450 km.
