US President-elect Donald trumpnominated for Army Veteran and Host conservative chain Fox News Pete Hegseth as secretary Defense.

“I am honored to announce that I have appointed Pete Hegseth to serve as Secretary of Defense in my Cabinet.

“Pete was a warrior for the military and the country all his life,” he said on Truth Social.

“Under Pete’s leadership, America’s enemies are on alert”

Trump emphasized that Hegseth “truly believes in ‘America First,'” a reference to the Republicans’ 2016 campaign slogan of advocating a less interventionist foreign policy.

“Under Pete’s leadership, America’s enemies are on guard: our Military will be great again, and America will never go back,” he warned.

The head of the Pentagon is a US Army veteran, with whom he visited Guantanamo Bay, Iraq and Afghanistan. He was decorated several times for his combat actions and led two veterans’ advocacy organizations.

“No one fights harder for the troops, and Pete will be a brave and patriotic defender of our policy of peace through strength,” Trump said.

After graduating from Princeton University and graduate school at Harvard, Hegseth was a presenter for eight years. FOXNewsadhered to conservative views and believed Trump’s favorite.

His recent book, The Warrior War, spent nine weeks on the New York Times bestseller list. In it, he reveals the left’s “betrayal of our warriors and how we must return our Armed Forces to meritocracy, lethality, accountability and excellence,” said the man who will become the new head of the White House.
