Some of the latest releases of DJI drones support this technology. fast transfer, which greatly speeds up the process of copying photo and video files recorded by the drone. Unlike the traditional copy system with a smartphone connected to a controller, which limits the copy speed to just over 5MB/s, QuickTransfer uses a Wi-Fi connection between the smartphone/tablet and the drone without a controller, so you can reach up to 20MB/s with Mini 2, 25MB/s with Mini 3 Pro and 60MB/s with Mavic 3 models.
Mini 3 Pro gets an update to optimize QuickTransfer technology
The Mini 3 Pro drone received a new firmware update v01.00.0150 that fixes issues with the QuickTransfer file copying system that was unstable when the drone went into low power mode during the process and should now work better whether or not using Android or iOS device. The RC controller has also been updated to version 01.00.0300 and now has the DJI Fly 1.6.6 app.
QuickTransfer technology greatly speeds up the process of copying files, which is of great help to professionals and even users who want to quickly share content. I am preparing a very complete article with tests on more than one model of this technique, below you can already see the scenario with copying Mini 3 Pro 25 files with a total size of 7.8 GB. It is worth noting that at the moment it is only available in copies involving a device on which DJI Fly is installed, that is, it is not possible to perform a process involving Windows.
Mavic 3 Drones Get IMU Fix Update
Mavic 3 drones also received firmware update v01.00.0800, now to address an issue with the IMU system, the inertial measurement unit of the gyroscope and accelerometer sensors, important for better orientation, location and speed of the drone.
The IMU working in its ideal scenario ensures that the drone is flying in the correct direction. Problems with IMU calibration can cause the drone’s camera to drift off the horizon, that the drone does not stabilize when hovering, that some motors work harder due to the drone not being completely level, and among other problems. After the update, it is important to calibrate the IMU, which must be done on a flat surface with the drone turned on, but everything is closed. The system informs about everything that needs to be done in the process.
DJI Fly reaches version 1.6.6
Finally, the DJI Fly app has been updated to version 1.6.6, now also on Android and on the Mini 3 Pro RC controller. iOS already received this update a few days ago, and now Android is getting the new version as well. Among the fixes is the optimization of the QuickTransfer technology mentioned above.
Continuation after commercial
We have a very complete video on the DJI Fly app, I recommend watching it especially if you are new to DJI drones.
