Apple launches Final Cut Pro 11, with new AI-powered tools and improved workflow. The software now also supports spatial video editing, tailored to the capabilities of the Apple Vision Pro.
Apple launches Final Cut Pro 11. With the new version of the video editing software, the company is introducing new products on Mac, iPad and iPhone. For the first time, users can edit spatial videos built directly into Apple Vision Pro. This is an interesting new capacity, but only interesting for a small niche. After all, the Apple Vision Pro is not a widely available product and VR glasses in general are not that ubiquitous.
Apple immediately refers to this Magnetic maskFeature that automatically isolates objects and people in video clips without using a green screen. Also new Transcribe into subtitles: A feature that automatically generates closed captions by converting audio into text using an Apple-trained language model.
The new version includes additional AI features such as Smart Conform to adapt videos to social media formats and Voice Isolation to reduce background noise.
Mobile and Logic Pro
Final Cut Pro for iPad has been updated with features like Improve light and color This automatically makes color and contrast improvements. The iPad version also offers new things Live drawingInking, haptic feedback, and support for gradient presets and dynamic soundtracks. For iPhone 16 Pro, there’s now support for 4K recording at 120 frames per second in the Final Cut camera app, which also has a log encoding option to reduce file size.
Logic Pro for Mac and iPad has been updated with the new Quantec Room Simulator plugin. According to Apple’s promotional pitch, this provides natural acoustic spatial effects for music, inspired by vintage acoustic techniques from Quantec. This is intended to make the app a complementary tool for video editors in the Apple ecosystem who want to add natural ambient sounds to their projects.

Final Cut Pro 11 is available on the App Store as a free update for existing users or for a purchase price of $299.99 for new users. iPad subscriptions start at $4.99 per month. Logic Pro for Mac and iPad can be downloaded as a free update or purchased for $199.99 from the App Store.
