Intel Arc Battlemage will be introduced in December

A new data leak obtained by mining suggests that the Intel Arc Battlemage will present in December. If that ends up happening, and the truth is that it looks like it will, the chip giant will get ahead of NVIDIA and AMD, and this small temporary advantage may help it slightly boost sales of its a new generation of graphics cards.

Intel Arc Battlemage is the successor to Intel Arc Alchemist, a generation that promised to be a serious contender for NVIDIA and AMD, but ended up was hampered by certain failures and problems which negatively affected its performance in some games, especially those using pre-DirectX 12 APIs.

It didn’t live up to expectations, but the Intel Arc Battlemage did promises to resolve all deficiencies the previous generation, and it might finally become the generation to actually take into account. Frankly, it would be ideal because having a third player in the gaming graphics card sector would mean more competition, and that’s always a good thing for consumers.

NVIDIA and AMD will present their new graphics cards at the fair CES 2025at least in theory, so they both arrive at the next-gen party a little later. It will be very interesting to see how these new generations compete and how they stack up against each other, although thanks to the leaks that have been produced, we have a pretty clear idea.

AMD has confirmed that RDNA 4, the architecture it will use in the Radeon RX 8000, It will revive only mid-range and mid-range graphics cards, so there won’t be a high-end model capable of competing with the most powerful NVIDIA. This, for its part, will adopt the usual strategy and cover all ranges, and Intel is said to take an approach very similar to that of AMD, i.e. it will also bet on the middle class.

Keep in mind that when we talk about midrange and midrange, we mean to the next generationwhich would lead us to the GeForce RTX 5060, RTX 5060 Ti and GeForce RTX 5070, two graphics cards that will offer performance similar to the GeForce RTX 4070, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti and GeForce RTX 4080.

The first Intel Arc Battlemage performance data we got when analyzing the ASUS Zenbook S14, which has an iGPU based on the said architecture, was very good, so we have reasons to be positive with this new generation of Intel graphics.
