NTDEV, the creator of the “tiny” project, has announced a new version of Tiny11 Builder, a solution that makes it possible adjust to the maximum installer content for Microsoft operating systems. And by the way, remove all content that the user considers unnecessary.

The new version comes more than a year after the previous one. But the wait was worth it. Not only has it been updated to the latest version of the system, Windows 11 24H2, but it has also become a much more complete and flexible solution: a script that works for everything.

What is and how to use Tiny11 Builder

It’s just that the script for automating the creation of an optimized Windows 11 image has the same goal as the (already ready) images offered by the same developer: to get lightweight operating systempersonalized, with reduction Bloatware to its minimal expression and also able to work on machines with older hardware or incompatible with official requirements.

Tiny11 Builder aims for the same but with a major change, It is the user himself who selects the components to contain and those that do not when creating the installation image.

It should be noted that in addition to the new content of Windows 11 24H2, this tool triggers other functionsbecause it can be used with other versions of Windows 11 (not only in a specific build), as well as on any language or architecture. This is made possible by the powerful scripting capabilities of PowerShell, which are significantly improved compared to the previous version of Batch.

In addition, tiny11 Core Builder, a more powerful script, was introduced for the first time, designed for a fast and simple development test bench that is the bare minimum of what is necessary to function. This version creates a significantly scaled-down image of Windows 11. However, it is not suitable for regular use due to its lack of usability, since no languages, updates or features can be added after it is created.

Let’s say that Tiny11 Builder (and Tiny11) only uses Microsoft tools and official images. Its creation is unattended once you select the components and using instructions for use the following provided by the developer:

1. Download Windows 11 from the Microsoft website ( https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11 )
2. Mount the downloaded ISO image using Windows Explorer.
3. Select the drive letter where the image is mounted (letter only, no colon (:))
4. Select the SKU to base the image on.
5. Sit back and relax.
6. When the image is ready, you will see it in the folder where the script was extracted, called tiny11.iso
