Netanyahu offers freedom and million for hostages kidnapped in Gaza Strip

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu crossed into the Gaza Strip and, from an undisclosed location off the coast of the Palestinian enclave, recorded a video in which he offered a reward of up to $5 million for each hostage released from captivity in the hands of Hamas.

“Anyone who takes a hostage will find with us a safe way for him and his family to leave the Gaza Strip. We will also give bail of five million dollars for each hostage. Choose, the choice is yours,” Prime Minister Netanyahu said in a video with his Defense Minister Israel Katz published on his official profile on the social network X.

Netanyahu said that whatever the actions of the people of the Gaza Strip, the result of the Israeli military operation will ultimately be the same, since, according to him, he is confident that the army will be able to return all the hostages back to Israel.

Hamas kidnapped about 240 people during its offensive on October 7, 2023.

“I am here on the banks of Gaza (…) Our heroic soldiers are doing a wonderful job here in the center of the Gaza Strip, in all parts of the Strip. “They have achieved excellent results in achieving our important goal,” the Israeli leader said.

He said Hamas “will not govern the Gaza Strip” when the Israeli offensive ends.

In October 2023, Hamas launched an unprecedented attack on Israel in which nearly 1,200 people were killed and another 240 kidnapped. (Europe Press).
