A recent Chromium update broke text markup on websites using the Tailwind CSS framework. In the meantime, Tailwind shared a solution.
Many browsers today use Chromium as a base, which ensures universal compatibility between these browsers. The downside? A bug in Chromium also immediately affects all of these browsers. That’s what’s happening right now. Due to a change in Chromium 131, users are experiencing issues highlighting and copying text. This affects websites that use the Tailwind CSS framework. A solution has already been offered by Tailwind, but not all affected websites have implemented it yet.
Due to a change in Chromium 131, several websites using Tailwind as their CSS framework are experiencing issues copying and pasting text. These affected websites still allow you to copy and paste text, but you won’t see what you selected. On some websites, copy and paste doesn’t work at all.
In the meantime, Tailwind has updated its CSS tools and released a fix. Additionally, it is not clear how widespread the problem is.
