Image manipulation apps have been allowing you to restore old photos for some time now to recover them in their maximum glory. The process was still cumbersome in many cases, but Photoshop can achieve this with a simple click.
The new option is part of the new ‘Neural Filters’ and leverages the power of artificial intelligence to improve the definition of the image and even make it more colorful, even if our copy is in black and white or traditional sepia tones.
Old photos take on a new life
If you have a few photos from the past that have faded over time, this new feature in Photoshop makes it significantly easier to restore them.
Photoshop’s new neural filter lets you with a simple click cracks and folds are removed loss of definition or detail as well as these photos. With this new Adobe Photoshop CC update, it’s even possible for the photo to be “finished” by artificial intelligence, correcting parts and at the same time extracting information from areas that have already lost it.
Not only that, it is even possible to restore the colors in the picture, which makes these photos come alive. While it’s possible to do something like this with tools that already exist in Photoshop, this feature seems to promise results with a simple click. The option will come “soon”, according to those responsible for Photoshop.
