Google Gemini Livi is now available in Dutch.

Google has announced that its AI chatbot Gemini Live is now available in Dutch. Users can also choose a voice with a Flemish accent. The update enables natural conversations in Dutch with extensive functionality via Google services.

AI assistant with extensive integrations

Gemini Live is positioned as a personal assistant that can do more than just answer questions. The chatbot is integrated into several Google apps, such as Gmail, Maps and YouTube. Google said these integrations would help users with everyday tasks like scheduling appointments or learning a language. Support for tasks, notes, and utilities was also recently added.

A striking feature of Gemini Live in Dutch is the possibility of natural conversations, because according to Google, the chatbot would have conversations as if it were a human. Users can also choose from ten language options, including Flemish and Dutch accents. Finally, Google introduced extensive productivity tools: Gemini works with Google services to make tasks easier. Support for Google Calendar in Dutch is expected at a later date.

In addition to practical support, Gemini Live is intended to promote creative thinking. For example, the chatbot would help with brainstorming or looking up information.

With this update, Google is focusing on a broader Dutch-speaking audience, including Flanders. The adaptation emphasizes the role of AI in everyday life and its broader accessibility. Further expansion of the options, such as integration with other Google services, are planned.
