Oppo is back on the European smartphone market. With the Find X8 Pro, the Find X series returns to the premium segment.

The Oppo Find X series is back in Belgium. Due to patent issues with Nokia, it has been a while since Oppo launched a premium phone in Belgium and Europe. The most recent market launches have focused more on the mid-range segment. Oppo promised to bring back the Find X earlier this year and is making good on that promise with the Find X8 Pro.

In Europe, the Find X8 Pro is the direct successor to the Find. In between, a Find X6 and a Find The Oppo Find X8 consists of two devices, but only the Pro model is released in Belgium.

Waterproof screen

The Oppo Find X8 Pro features a 6.78-inch screen with a slightly curved frame to improve grip. Oppo is once again putting the Hasselblad name on the Find X8 Pro. The collaboration proved to be a success with the Find X5, which set a new benchmark for (night) photography two years ago. Smartphone photography has evolved rapidly since the Find X5 and Oppo wants to show that it can still keep up.

The cameras are sorted in an eye-catching ring. The smartphone features a quad 50MP camera setup, including a 135mm periscope camera (6x optical zoom) and a 23mm wide-angle sensor. Oppo adds a brand new three-prism periscope camera with a 1.95-inch Sony LYT600 sensor. With the help of AI, you can digitally zoom up to 60x.

Choice for MediaTek

Oppo makes a bold processor choice with the Find X8 Pro. Usually Qualcomm is the default option in this price range, but the Find X8 Pro comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. With its latest flagship processor, MediaTek wants to finally compete with the big players and Oppo is putting its trust in the processor manufacturer.

The Find X8 Pro also comes with a robust 5910mAh battery. Charging is possible with a power of 80W if you use a branded SuperVooc charger, which is not included with the device. With a Doornsee Power Delivery cable you can charge at 55W. Wireless charging is supported up to 50W.

ColorOS 15

The Oppo Find X8 will also be the brand’s first device to ship with the ColorOS 15 operating system. This is Oppo’s take on Android 15. As usual these days, the device is packed with AI.
