Microsoft has released the optional November updates for Windows 11 and Windows 10.
The optional November updates bring improvements and bug fixes for all supported versions, including Windows 11 24H2, 23H2/22H2 and Windows 10 22H2. This is the last optional update of the year as the Windows team transitions to minimal operation during the holidays.
Subtle improvements
Many changes were previously tested in the Windows Insider program and are now being rolled out across the board, reports Thurrot. Improvements include subtle but useful changes like a shortened date and time in the notification area and improved Start menu functionality. New options let you disable touchscreen gestures or adjust the mouse scrolling direction.
It’s now easier to share files via Phone Link. Additionally, Microsoft is fixing an activation issue that occurred after replacing a motherboard: a change that will benefit both Windows 11 and Windows 10. For Windows 10 users, a bug affecting file management when dragging from cloud storage has also been fixed.
These changes will be generally available in December.
