Lancom has launched its first Wi-Fi 7 access points. The access points combine improved performance, advanced security and sustainable technologies.

German network specialist Lancom Systems is today introducing two new WiFi 7 access points, the LX-7500 and LX-7300 WiFi 7, and with the new access points Lancom aims to be ready in time for the new WiFi era.

Lancom’s new access points support the Wi-Fi 7 standard (IEEE 802.11be), which enables higher speeds, improved capacity and interference-free connections over the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz frequency bands. This makes the devices suitable for real-time applications such as machine control and virtual reality.

Large and small networks

The LX-7500 is designed for large, demanding wireless networks. It offers tri-band Wi-Fi with 4×4 MU-MIMO, data speeds of up to 19 Gbps and has a 10G and a 2.5G Ethernet port. Dual PoE-in ensures redundant power supply and maximum reliability.

The LX-7300 access point is aimed at medium-sized networks and offers tri-band Wi-Fi with 2×2 MU-MIMO and speeds of up to 9.3 Gbit/s. This model also has one 10G and one 2.5G Ethernet port and supports single PoE++.

Both models are equipped with an additional scanning radio that supports network security and optimization. The housings meet the IP50 standard and are certified for demanding environments.

Sustainability and automation

Lancom knows its trends and is also focusing on sustainability and automation with these new network devices. The new access points have several sustainable features, including power saving options via the Sustainability fashion. Transparent energy monitoring gives managers insight into consumption and CO2 reduction. The housing is made from fully recyclable materials and the packaging is plastic-free.

In addition, Lancom offers cloud management via the Management Cloud, which enables automation to install, monitor and optimize the WiFi network. Active Power Control technology reduces energy consumption without compromising reliability.

The recommended retail price for the Lancom LX-7500 is 1,190 euros (excluding VAT). The LX-7300 model is offered for 899 euros without VAT.
