Teamleader acquires the accounting app Dexxter and launches Teamleader One: a software package for the self-employed. The software provider is thus expanding its offering to beginners and small companies.

The accounting app Dexxter, founded in 2021 by three former student entrepreneurs, will now become part of the Teamleader ecosystem. Dexxter offers self-employed people and sole proprietors a solution to manage their own accounting. The platform has a growing customer base of more than 7,000 users. The Dexxter team continues to operate from Mechelen under the leadership of the founders.

With the acquisition, Teamleader, itself part of Visma, wants to respond to small business owners’ needs for accessible accounting tools. “Thanks to Teamleader’s expertise, we can accelerate Dexxter’s growth,” says Stan De Pauw, co-founder of Dexxter. Teamleader’s CEO, Jeroen De Wit, emphasizes the need for better tools for self-employed people and sees Dexxter as an ideal complement to Teamleader’s offering.

Team Leader One

In addition to the acquisition, Teamleader is introducing the new software package Teamleader One. Designed for young professionals, freelancers and the self-employed, this package offers automated invoicing and cash flow tools. This fits with the challenges faced by smaller business owners, such as finding an accountant and the impending requirement for electronic invoicing from 2026.

Teamleader One contains functionalities from the existing products Teamleader Focus and Orbit, which were previously aimed at SMEs. According to De Wit, the new package offers self-employed people insight into their finances and helps them digitize and automate their invoice process.

The combination of the Dexxter takeover and the introduction of Teamleader One shows Teamleader’s ambition to support self-employed people and small businesses in their digital transformation.
