Cisco and NTT Data will work together to provide businesses in 180 countries with easier access to 5G via eSIM technology and the Transatel network.

Cisco and NTT DATA join forces to provide customers with the easiest possible connectivity. The core of the collaboration is the integration of Cisco’s eSIM technology with NTT Data’s global Transatel network. The collaboration did not come out of the blue: at the beginning of 2023, the two parties announced that they would work together on 5G.

This allows businesses to easily scale and manage their mobile networks and make mobile branch connectivity available on demand. In this way, the two parties hope to simplify the implementation and management of mobile infrastructure.

Widespread

The solution focuses on a wide range of industries such as retail, hospitality, manufacturing and financial services. Consider securing pop-up retail locations, securing point-of-sale systems, or quickly setting up cellular networks at remote manufacturing locations. According to Cisco and NTT Data, companies benefit from the technology’s scalability and flexibility while reducing installation and management costs.

This partnership enables companies in 180 countries to activate, manage and monitor Cisco solutions through flexible pricing models. The technology also supports applications such as edge computing for IoT and SD-WAN solutions relevant to the digital transformation of modern businesses.
