Authorities in Piedmont, California, were alerted to a vehicle running off the sidewalk around 3:00 a.m. local time. He crashed into a cement wall and got stuck between the wall and a tree.Metropolitan Police Chief Jeremy Bowers said this at a press conference.
This collision “resulted in the death of three people. “One person was seriously injured and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment,” he added.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, although local fire chief Dave Brannigan said there is a possibility that the emailspeeding caused the incident and they are currently ruling out a mechanical issue.
