I recognize that It’s only been a few hours since I first learned about After Inc.and I will also admit that I have been testing it for a few hours. Yes, you got that right, I’ve been alternating all afternoon writing and posting some first contact news with a follow-up that I didn’t expect, but which I now find absolutely essential and which I wonder how it took so long to come.

There’s not a lot of mystery to it since I already hinted at it in the title. Really, After Inc is the sequel to Plague Inca game I bought the iOS version of back in 2012 (yes, I keep the purchase email in the App Store), which I got many in-app purchases from, and which I also bought two years later in early 2014 and added to my Steam collection (yes, I keep the receipt too). I don’t think I need to elaborate on how much I like this game.

For those unfamiliar, a very quick introduction. It’s about plagues, yes, plagues that aim to wipe out humanity, but unlike what happens in regular games that start at this base, In this case, your task is to make the plague a success. This, even though the game is very old, has given it quite a bit of relevance in the early 2020s for reasons you can easily imagine (and which we’ll tell you here), and even prompted its creators to give it a spin by creating “The Cure” (no, nothing to do with Robert Smith’s band, who by the way have released a studio album again after almost 20 years, sorry for the digression).

The fact is, if you completed your quest, the ending of Plague Inc (unless you played The Cure mode) consisted of the complete eradication of humanity… although, as the movies and series taught us, there is always some. a clueless man who refuses to go extinct. This is where this new challenge begins, and it is After Inc gives us the job of trying to rebuild society after the events of Plague Incfor which we will have to manage settlements of survivors, manage resources and of course face many challenges to rebuild society.

Most Followers Ndemic Creations, the studio behind Plague Inc and After Inc, Yes, you’ll appreciate a bit of Plague in this new title, but also a bit of Rebel Incsomewhat more complex than the previous ones, but undoubtedly just as accessible and fun. At the moment, the game is already available for Android and iOS in the respective official app stores of both platforms, and the studio has confirmed that a PC version will arrive via Steam in 2025. Good news for those of us who need to ease our conscience after hundreds of times they wiped out the human race on both smartphones and computers.
