Recently available Windows 11 24H2 The update received major complaints from users and caused some issues. In fact, last week we saw Microsoft temporarily stop this update support for computers with some Ubisoft games installed, as the games crashed.
Now another problem has arisen due to the same update. This time the affected Dell device owner become users.
Windows 11 24H2 prevents Dell computers from shutting down

According to complaints from many people, users who own Dell computers with Windows 11 24H2 updated and the brand’s encryption application installed are starting to experience problems. It has been reported that the new Windows 11 version will prevent these devices from shutting down or going into sleep mode.
Instead, the device simply went into power saving mode. So users, they cannot shut down the systems completely. Although complaints about the problem are increasing, there has been no explanation from Microsoft yet. But Dell offers a solution. Users can avoid this issue by updating the company’s encryption application, Dell Encryption, to version 11.10.1 or later.
If the update does not occur automatically on the device, it can be performed from Dell’s own site. When you upgrade to 11.10.1 or a higher version, this problem will probably go away and it will be possible to shut down the computer normally again.
While there is a fix for this problem, this incident is of course another indication that the Windows 11 24H2 update is seriously problematic. We will wait and see what Microsoft will do, how and when it will solve all remaining problems.
