As we can see in the screenshot, we can inform the alert: it will ask us if the event is still occurring and we can respond using the two large buttons. Of course, similar to the notifications that currently appear, it won’t be long before these disappear to avoid distraction while driving.

It is also possible to close this window by touching the “X” icon that appears at the top. When will these Waze notifications be available on Google Maps? It doesn’t appear to be rolling out to all users at the moment as only a few users are reporting the visibility of this feature on Reddit.

Regardless, we hope they will be available very soon as they will be very helpful. Waze has always stood out for its community, and now it can be found on Maps without having to download the app. And after all, we will all benefit from change: Reports in Maps will indicate whether Waze drivers’ alerts are still on the road.
