As always, Apple Music invites us this time to take a look back and check if our favorite song’s listen count in 2024 shows we have a problem. And almost without realizing it, we are in December again, again we can count the time in a few weeks that separates us from dinners, presents, in some cases joy and in others nostalgia… yes, we are already on the threshold of Christmas and changes of the year. And as a reminder, Cupertino’s music streaming service Replay 2024 is now available for all users, allowing you to discover songs, albums and artists that marked your musical year.

This year, yes, there have been some notable innovations. The first is that finally Apple has taken a step forward by integrating Replay 2024 directly into the Apple Music app. This finally means (yes, I repeat finally, imagine how much I wanted this to happen) that it is no longer necessary to use the web version to enjoy this functionality, which is accessible from the “Listen Now” tab. And it didn’t really make much sense to leave the app to view the content we heard… using the app.

Among the notable features of Replay 2024 New metrics like “Listening Lanes” are included which allow users to see, say, the consistency with which they’ve played certain artists or songs, as well as the “date of first play” to relive that moment when they first discovered an album or song. Additionally, users can share these stats in customizable slides, a clear nod to competition from Spotify Wrapped. Apple has also thought of artists, who now have access to a year’s summary with information such as total minutes played, major cities where they are listened to and the most searched songs on Shazam.

If you haven’t tried it yet, You can access it from the Apple Music app or visit the official Replay website explore your statistics and share them on social networks. And the fact is that (and this is something that Spotify started pushing practically from its inception) the social dimension of streaming services has not stopped growing since last.fm (which I am somewhat surprised to verify is still working ).

At the same time, Apple Music makes it as easy as possible for its users to share their annual summaries and It also gains visibility this way in the music streaming market, in which it has been well positioned for years, but still has room for growth.
