Company BYD strengthens its position in the global car manufacturers market: the company went bankrupt for the first time in history ford It became the sixth largest automaker in terms of sales volume. Nikkei Asia reported that BYD sold 1.13 million vehicles between July and September 2024, a record for the automaker. The company sold over a million cars for the first time in the last quarter.
That’s about 40,000 more cars than Ford. Between January and September, Ford delivered 3.3 million vehicles worldwide, followed by BYD with 3.25 million deliveries. If BYD maintains its current pace, the company could surpass Ford by the end of the year.
BYD has already surpassed last year’s annual sales record, when 3.024 million vehicles were sold worldwide. This is 61.9% more than the result in 2022. By the end of the third quarter of 2024, BYD’s global sales increased by 38% compared to the same period in 2023.
